The University of Mary Washington riding team finished as the reserve champion at its Saturday home show at Hazelwild Farm.

The Eagles saw Samantha Bennett and Fallon Wright both take first in their novice over fences classes. Vickie Sheil took second at intermediate fences as well as novice flat, as did Olivia Blake in intermediate flat and Emily Rothstein in novice on the flat.

Nicki Ferrell took third in both her open flat and open fences classes.

The Eagles will return to action on Sunday at 10 a.m., again at Hazelwild Farm.
