The University of Mary Washington riding team won eight first place ribbons en route to 41 points and a first place finish at the University of Richmond show on Saturday in Richmond. Junior Laura Adriaanse was the high point rider on the day by winning her novice over fences and novice on the flat classes.

Other winners of classes for the Eagles included Kimberly Counts in open over fences, Nikki Ferrell won her intermediate over fences class, Emily Dunn won her novice on the flat class, Vickie Shiel won in walk-trot-canter, and Anna Lobova and Allison Skowronski each won their walk-trot classes.

The Eagles will compete again next Saturday at VCU at noon.
