UMW Baseball Falls to Southern Va., 2-0, on Wednesday Afternoon

The University of Mary Washington baseball team dropped a 2-0 decision to southern Virginia University on Wednesday afternoon at Dickinson Stadium. The Eagles slip to 11-20 overall and 4-13 in league play.

The Knights pushed across a run in the second on a one-out triple and sacrifice fly, and another in the third on a pair of singles and an error.

Norman Holcomb doubled and Stephen Johnston and Marcel Barrett singled for the Eagles. 

Senior Hank Biggs went the distance, allowing seven hits and two runs in nine innings, walking none and striking out 10.

The Eagles will host St. Mary's College on Friday at 3:00 pm in another Capital Athletic Conference matchup.
