On Saturday November 14th the University of Mary Washington Baseball team welcomed local students from the Stafford Junction for a clinic to work their hitting, fielding and pitching skill as well as talk about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and the importance of being active. All participants left with more knowledge about college athletics and the role that sports played in getting the student-athletes from the baseball team to UMW as well as new UMW Baseball shirts.
The work that the teams from UMW are doing with Stafford Junction is part of a grant between UMW Athletics, the UMW Center for Honor, Leadership and Service and Stafford Junction which is in it's second year.
