YORK, Pa. -- Mary Washington swept this week's conference honors as senior Jono Haught and junior Ryan Van Assche were named the CAC Baseball Players of the Week for March 23, 2015.

Mary Washington senior Jono Haught was named the CAC Player of the Week for the third time this year after continuing his stellar start to the season, hitting 15-for-26 (.577) with eight RBIs and eight runs scored, including a .682 average in five CAC contests, as the Eagles went 4-2 last week. Haught had a single, double, triple and three RBIs in a win over Southern Virginia, and notched six hits in nine at bats, including a pair of doubles, as the Eagles dropped a twinbill to Frostburg State. He then went 7-for-11 with a home run, four RBIs, and four runs scored in a doubleheader win over Penn State Harrisburg. Haught is batting .590 on the season (36-for-61) and is already just two home runs shy of the school season record of eight. He leads the league in hits, runs, RBI, doubles, triples, and home runs.

Mary Washington junior Ryan Van Assche was selected as the CAC Pitcher of the Week after posting a pair of wins in CAC action last week. Van Assche threw 3.2 innings of scoreless relief on Wednesday in a 6-5 win over Southern Virginia, and threw 7.2 perfect innings in his 8.0 total frames in a win over Penn State Harrisburg on Sunday. He allowed three hits on Wednesday, striking out five and walking none in gaining the win. His win on Sunday included one hit in eight innings with 10 strikeouts and no walks.

Salisbury is ranked fourth and Frostburg State 16th in the D3baseball.com Week 4 Rankings ... Zach Weiss hit .393 last week for the Bobcats as they posted a 4-2 week ... In the Collegiate Baseball poll, Salisbury is ranked fifth and Frostburg State is 14th ... Salisbury is lone unbeaten in CAC play at 6-0, while Frostburg State (7-1) and Marymount (4-2) also have winning records in conference ... Keith Roberts led Christopher Newport with .444 batting average last week in a 3-2 week for the Captains. In three conference games, Roberts hit .667 with 5 runs and 6 RBIs, including a two-run home run against Penn State Harrisburg. Blake Ream started two games for CNU and posted a 1-0 mark, lowering his team-best ERA to 3.54 on the year ... Frostburg State's Zach Weiss totaled 11 hits, nine runs scored, four RBIs and a home run in a 4-2 week for the Bobcats. In a CAC sweep of Mary Washington, Weiss finished 7-for-12 with five runs ... Marymount went 3-2 last week, including a 3-1 mark in the CAC ... Ryan Blake led the Saints to a sweep over Wesley, batting 5-for-10 with seven RBIs and two home runs in the twinbill. He also recorded the save in the win over Frostburg State on Wednesday. Lefthander Jake Brown pitched 5 1/3 shutout innings in the Saints' win over Frostburg State. The win marked the first for Marymount over a ranked opponent in its brief two-year history ... St. Mary's Brad Dioguardo hit safely in five consecutive games, picking up a career-high three hits in back-to-back games while notching career-highs of four runs and three RBI in the win over Messiah ... Salisbury senior leftfielder Jordan Gowe led the Sea Gulls at the plate in a 5-0 week. Gowe had 11 RBIs and five doubles on the week. Salisbury senior pitcher Dan Fein pitched seven scoreless innings in a win over Christopher Newport, allowing only three batters to reach base.
