YORK, Pa. -- Salisbury senior Kyle Hayman and Mary Washington junior Ryan Van Assche were named the CAC Baseball Players of the Week for March 30, 2015.

Salisbury senior Kyle Hayman earned CAC Player of the Week honors after leading the Sea Gulls to wins over over Marymount and Gallaudet last week. In just two games, Hayman tallied five RBIs, seven runs scored and four extra-base hits including two triples and a home run. Hayman finished the week with a .700 batting average and a 1.500 slugging percentage. He went 4-for-5 with three runs, a home run, a double and a stolen base against Marymount on Wednesday in a 16-12 victory. On Sunday against Gallaudet, he went 3-for-5, scored four times and blasted two triples.

Mary Washington junior Ryan Van Assche earned CAC Pitcher of the Week for the second straight week after throwing a complete-game four-hit shutout against York on Sunday. Van Assche walked one and struck out six batters in his nine innings of work. He has now allowed just six batters to reach base in his last 17 innings. For the season, he is 6-1 with a 1.59 ERA in 39.2 innings, with 45 strikeouts.
