University of Mary Washington junior pitchers Torey Mancari and Mike Straub have been named to the 2012 All-Capital Athletic Conference Baseball Teams, as released on Thursday. Mancari was named as a first team selection, while Straub was named to the second team.
Mancari went 4-4 in 11 appearances for UMW, posting a 3.36 ERA with 88 strikeouts in 64.1 innings. He didn't allow a home run all season, led the team with three complete games, and opponents batted just .224 against him this spring.
Straub tied Mancari for the team lead in wins with four, and carried a 2.52 ERA in 10 appearances (53.2 innings). He struck out 48 batters and allowed just four extra base hits all season. Opponents batted just .188 against the right hander.
