Woody Richardson is the new Interim Faculty Athletic Representative at the University of Mary Washington.

Woody primarily teaches Strategic Management at the graduate and undergraduate level, but has also taught courses in Sports Management, Business Ethics, and a Freshmen Seminar. He received teaching awards from Mississippi State University, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and the University of Central Florida while on the faculty of each university. In addition to those institutions, Woody served as a faculty member at Shenandoah University and Ball State University prior to arriving at UMW in 2013.

His research has appeared in the Journal of Business Ethics, Health Care Management Review, Simulation & Gaming, Journal of Education for Business, and the Journal of Management Education. He has written and published numerous cases that have appeared in the Case Research Journal, Business Case Journal, Journal of Applied Case Research, Journal of the International Academy for Case Studies, Journal of Finance Case Research, Sage Business Cases, Southeast Case Research Journal and over a dozen textbooks. The Case Research Journal recognized him as an Outstanding Reviewer for 2013, and appointed him to its Editorial Review Board in October of 2015.

An avid fan of UMW Athletics, Woody has been the faculty liaison for the volleyball team for the past three years.
