University of Mary Washington senior men's lacrosse player Brandon Williams has been selected to attend the 2021 NCAA Division III Student Immersion Program this upcoming January in conjunction with the NCAA Convention.  Williams was among 45 Division III student-athletes from across the country who were accepted into the program.

The goal of the Immersion Program is to build a pipeline of talented ethnic minority candidates, with an interest in Division III coaching and/or administration, in an effort to ultimately diversify the division. Typically, the Immersion Program takes place at the NCAA Convention, but due to COVID-19, this year the convention is being held virtually from January 13-15.  Williams, an economics and mathematics major, will participate in virtual programming specific to student-athletes. The group will receive DiSC training, participate in a variety of meetings, and gain a valuable professional network with their cohort.
