Inside the Nest- Zach Miller

The University of Mary Washington Athletic Department has launched a new student-athlete spotlight, "Inside the Nest." Each month, we will be celebrating student-athletes from different communities within our department. The focus for February is Black History Month.

Why did you choose University of Mary Washington?

I chose UMW because it is a great fit for me academically and it is very close to home so my parents can come see my lacrosse games.

Favorite Spot on Campus?

My favorite spot on campus is the Hurley Convergence Center.

What are your plans post Mary Wash?

As of right now, I do not have any plans after I graduate, but I hope to find a job in sports operations.

What advice would you give incoming Eagles?

I would tell incoming freshmen that they should make the most of their time here because it goes by very fast.

What does Black History Month mean to you?

To me, Black History Month is about honoring the diversity that makes our country so great. It is a time to honor and celebrate the lives and accomplishments of remarkable individuals.
