Ian Rogol to Step Down as Head Athletic Trainer

Ian Rogol, the head athletic trainer at the University of Mary Washington since 2010, will step down from his position on January 9 to accept a new position of Assistant Director of Athletics for Health and Wellbeing and the Head Athletic Trainer at Auburn University at Montgomery.

"Ian has been a great colleague over the last nine years and has been a terrific steward of UMW Athletics across campus," said Interim Director of Athletics Patrick Catullo. "In addition, he has been instrumental in enhancing the services provided to the student athletes in the athletic training room. I want to thank Ian for his years of dedication and commitment."

Rogol was inducted into the Virginia Athletic Trainers' Association (VATA) Hall of Fame in 2018, which recognizes VATA members for going above and beyond in his/her dedication and service to benefit the athletic training profession in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Prior to coming to Mary Washington, Rogol spent the previous 14 years working at the secondary school level.
