Junior field hockey goalie Jessica Cavolt has been named as the UMW Wagner Wealth Management Athlete of the Month for September.

Cavolt has led the Eagles to a consistent national ranking this season, placing as high as 14th in the nation after defeating ninth-ranked Franklin & Marshall College. The Eagles played to a 7-4 record for the month, against four nationally ranked opponents.

Cavolt allowed more than one goal in just two of 11 contests for the month, with 10 goals allowed in 11 contests, including five shutouts. she had 44 saves and an .815 save percentage for the month.
