Mary Washington senior Dallas Tarkenton was selected as the CAC Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week after leading the Eagles to their first-ever team win at the Gettysburg Invitational last weekend, achieving two NCAA provisional cuts and one Gettysburg Pool record in the process. Tarkenton touched first in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:51.40, winning by nearly five full seconds, on Friday. On Saturday, he broke the GC pool record with an NCAA "B" cut in the 100-yard butterfly at 48.62. He also swam on the winning 400 medley relay which helped UMW come from behind in the last race to win the meet. Tarkenton's 200 time in the butterfly currently ranks third in the nation.

Mary Washington senior Anna Corley earned CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week honors after leading the Eagles to the team title at the Gettysburg Invitational with four first-place finishes, including an NCAA provisional cut. Corley finished first in the 400 IM with an NCAA "B" cut time of 4:34.32, spearheading a 1-2-3 UMW finish in the event. She also won the 200 IM at 2:07.60 and contributed to the winning 800 freestyle and 400 freestyle relay squads. Her 200 IM time ranks 19th nationally, while her 400 IM is 32nd.

Christopher Newport junior Jeff Dover and Mary Washington freshman David Danek were selected as the CAC Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week for Dec. 6, 2016. Dover was honored as the CAC Track Athlete of the Week after leading all Division III competitors in both the mile and 3,000 during the CNU Holiday Open on Sunday at the Freeman Center. Danek was selected as the CAC Field Athlete of the Week after turning in a first-place finish in his first collegiate meet for the Eagles. Danek won the high jump at the Roanoke Bast-Cregger Invitational with a leap of 1.95 meters.
