The University of Mary Washington athletic department will host the 3rd Annual UMW Athletics Gala on May 19, 2016, at the Jepson Alumni Executive Center. Proceeds will help maximize opportunities and support services for Mary Washington student-athletes.
The event will feature special guest speaker World Series Champion, KC Royals Assistant General Manager and UMW Hall of Famer, Jin Wong '97. A business administration major and former All-American center fielder for Mary Washington, Wong steadily climbed Major League Baseball's corporate ladder following graduation and is a perfect example of UMW Athletics' mission for student-athlete excellence.
Also in attendance for the third annual event will be UMW President Richard Hurley. Hurley, who has served as UMW's ninth president since July 1, 2010, will retire this June.
The Gala will commence at 6:00 p.m. with a cocktail hour and silent auction bidding. The dinner and program will follow at 7:00 p.m. and an exciting live auction will cap the night just before 9:30 p.m.
With only a limited number of tickets for the event, individual seats cost $130 or a table of ten costs $1,000. A portion of each ticket purchase is tax deductible. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER AND ORDER TICKETS TODAY!
