Third Meeting: November 5, 2015

7:30 p.m. start time

Teams Not Represented: Women’s Volleyball (due to CAC game)

 

1.     Sign In- Sheet was handed out and passed around

 

2.     Fall Sports Recap- each fall sport representative spoke about the updates regarding their season as well as their upcoming games.

 

3.     Ty Daig- speaks to representatives about an experience he had this fall

 

4.     Children’s Museum Volunteering- Saturday, November 7th, people who are not able to work during their shifts should try their best to attend the Win4Wesley swim meet at 1 pm

 

5.     Community Service Update- each team needs to log their hours by using Orgsync so it is on file

 

6.     Can Food Drive- sign up for shifts to pass out flyers outside of Lee Hall the week November 9th-November 13th. Students should speak in front of their classes to encourage everyone to participate

 

7.     Voting on Legislation- SAAC went over new policies that were introduced during the CAC SAAC meeting and voted

 

8.     SAAC Board Outside of the Weight Room- updates on the progress as well as asked thoughts about having a student-athlete of the week on the board

 

9.     Bystander Awareness Course- continue to sign up for the course and SAAC Exec will get in touch with the progress of signing up with each representative

 

10.     Eagles Helping Eagles Update- Encourage teammates about the services available especially since finals are coming up. Go LIKE EHE page on Facebook.

 

11.     Polar Plunge Update- to be discussed in later dates but mark calendars for February 6th

 

12.     Mandatory SAAC Dates:

·     November 10th: Sports Psychologist speaker at 7:30 pm (let teammates know and if they are interested email Philip or Coach Wright so they can be added to the list)

 

13.     You Can Play Video – ask teammates who would be interested in speaking in it and respond to emails

 

14.     Next Meeting- December 3, 2015 at 7:30 pm.
