On March 16th the UMW field hockey team partnered up with the club women's tennis team and Be The Match to register students for the international bone marrow registry. In just six hours the teams were able to register over 100 people to join the fight against blood related cancers. Joining the registry is the first step in a potentially life-changing process. Finding a bone marrow match is extremely difficult but the chances increase every time someone joins the registry! The girls look forward to sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm next fall at the second bi-annual registration event!
