UMW Turf Field Stadium
The turf stadium at UMW hosts the Eagle field hockey and lacrosse teams. The newly-lighted artificial turf surface has already served as host to the 2012 NCAA field hockey and 2018 NCAA women's lacrosse tournaments. The facility was also the host site for the 1993 NCAA field hockey national championship. The addition of a new bleacher structure, with seating for 1,000 fans, was dedicated in September, 2014, to enhance the viewing experience at the venue.
DIRECTIONS TO THE BATTLEGROUND:
From Interstate 95, take Exit 130A (Route 3 East), and follow through five stoplights. At the sixth light, turn LEFT onto Business Route 3 (William Street). At the top of the hill, the road splits. Stay RIGHT, onto Hanover Street. The Battleground Athletic Complex is on the RIGHT.
