The number three position on the UMW Athletics Top Ten from 2013-14 is the greatest season in men's lacrosse history. The Eagles finished 14-4 on the year, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time.

The Eagles smashed the school record for wins with 14, including wins over traditional powers Hampden-Sydney, Washington & Lee, and St. Mary's College. Senior attacker Luke Dick became the first player in program history to gain All-America honors and the first to be named the CAC Player of the Year.

The team celebrated its first-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament with a tough 9-8 loss at sixth-ranked Cabrini College, and the Eagles for their record setting campaign, were ranked eighth nationally in the final poll, their highest rating ever.
